I don’t understand how or why you all care about this so much.

The kids will be the ones to suffer when they see the income disparity with their parents, and how little their mom will have compared to their dad. This wasn’t some short term marriage, this was a long-term family that is breaking up. Not saying she should get 50%, but there are a lot of reasons he should be more generous. Just imagine the difference for the kids, who are able to read about these details in the press. Kevin has the ability to choose to hold her to this very lopsided prenup and be legally in the right but a spiteful jerk in the eyes of his kids. Or….. he can offer to give her more than what he is legally obligated to give her and come off as the bigger person who cared more about not screwing over the mother of his kids for the sake of spite.

And with this level of income disparity it IS spite. $1 million is NOTHING when it comes to real estate there. She would most likely have to move the kids to different school districts to find an affordable home….. and who is that punishing? All of them. It isn’t like Kevin will stop acting and be the full time parent in their normal neighborhood.

No idea what is really fair here, but if I were him I’d at least offer to buy her a house , even if he keeps it in his name and just let’s her and the kids live there until the youngest is 18. That would be a decent thing to do with very little cost to himself.
