I agree about going with fit.
The score ranges are unfortunately not comparable, as Northeastern did not report stats for a third of the enrolled class - NU.in and international- prior to test optional, for many years, going back to the old Boston magazine article about gaming the rankings (https://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/2014/08/26/how-northeastern-gamed-the-college-rankings/). I have no idea what they are doing with enrollment stats for the satellite campuses going forward, though it would not surprise me if those were reported separately to IPEDS, just because that seems to be what other universities do (not sure what the CDS rules are).
Many schools accept transfer students, 15-3% of their incoming students, and their stats are not included either.
Northeastern's internal transfer student stats are actually very high.
The article basically says there are schools cheating (i.e. Columbia, Berkeley, Emory, etc.), but Northeastern is playing by the rules.
Nonwestern was also accused of cheating in their law schools stats.
Oh Northwestern also has a satellite campus and it's trying to expand as well all over the world
https://www.northwestern.edu/global/
Northwestern has Doha campus as the only real "Satellite campus". However, they do not take kids applying to Evanston campus and say "go to doha for 1-3 years and then we might let you come to Evanston". It's a completely separate experience.
The Doha campus of NWU also produced a Rhodes scholar last year. Not quite the same thing as all of these bootleg satellite "campuses" run by schools like NEU.
NWU Doha has 80% acceptance rate.
Yea seems pretty competitive and prestigious.
NEU has more integrated satellite campuses(Mills and London), so that it has guaranteed transfer program to the main campus for the highly qualified students. Schools like UVA, Emory, etc. have similar systems
I wouldn't say one way is better than another.
You pulled that number out of your a**. Google's easy to use. Their acceptance rate typically hovers around 33%.
Quick Google returned this - https://counselorcorporation.com/northwestern-university-in-qatar/
"acceptance rate is 70 – 83 %. University accepts local and international students"
Why are you lying?

Northeastern does have a location plus. Boston is a full-on college city.
I think Boston being a college city is overrated! Many cities have local colleges (including DC, Philly, NYC) and I don't get why everyone thinks going to college in Boston is better than any other city. If you are at BU, are you really hanging out with kids from Northeastern? And if so, so what? I just don't get the hype...
It’s not overrated at all. So many of you can only think of MIT and Harvard that you don’t see the other 45 or so colleges in Boston and Cambridge. I had a great time there in the late 80s. It’s a compact city with bridges over the Charles River separating the two cities. Anywhere you go you’ll see students and activities involving students. There’s a reason it’s called a college town.
Don't bother feeding the troll who has never been to Boston. [/quote]
Also if they went to school there in the late 80s they know that Northeastern is a commuter school
Was a commuter school and had a great night school decades ago for people who got married right out of high school.
What’s your point?
Point is obvious. For a lot of people in Boston and hiring execs., NEU is still considered a joke. It may have hired USNWR wizards to pull itself up the rankings but a lot of parents and those hiring know this is all a lot of glitter.

Majority of students beyond that are in Arts&Sciences, who unless CS means yes the starting salaries are typically a bit lower. Does not mean anything, just that students are pursuing what they want. Many A&S go onto graduate school before getting higher salaries.
I'll go out on a limb and guess that those majors drag down the salary. Median salary means nothing from an entire school. Also, anyone staying in Boston will bring up the salary, because its a VHCOL area and salaries are commensurate with that
