Please do not exert yourself outside, and stay indoors as much as possible.
If you have a high-filter mask, you can wear it outside: KN95, KF94, even surgical masks, will be better than walking about mask-free.
My husband will still ride his bike to work for an hour, and another five after work. Serves him right if he gets sick.

Is it really? This is scary. Can you post articles that say that? Why isn't the news staying to stay indoors all day then?
Because our national economies depend on individual productivity, PP. If you're an adult, you should know by now that if the government tells you it's dangerous, it means it's REALLY dangerous. Smart people find out beforehand and take their own measures if they can. Also, and people have difficulty with this, but there is a difference between short-term risk and long-term risk. No one cares if you're going to die of cancer or COPD in 15 years. But they're going to tell you whether you risk a cough, sore throat, or difficulty breathing today. If you get exposed too many times, you get the long-term risks - but you're on your own for that.
Nobody is appreciably increasing their risk of cancer or COPD by light exposure to todays air quality. Now, if you fight these fires for a living that’s a risk. Walking to your car - not a big risk.
Don’t go run a marathon outside today. Problem solved.

I (unknowingly) went for a bike ride and a dog walk yesterday with no noticeable effects.
I played tennis ran 3 miles bikes
And it left you unable to construct a sentence correctly?

You heard it hear, folks. PP trained for marathons in China and as of this moment is alive to tell the tale, therefore, you should ignore all air quality warnings.
