Some of you are germaphobes. Which is fine, everyone has their stuff. But the idea that children are contaminated unless hosed down daily immediately upon arriving home? Is extreme.
Like the “once a week” people are extreme but so are the people freaking out about missing a day, or even two, here and there.

My kid bathes most days BUT I think this is silly because obviously kids change clothes, wash hands and faces, etc. It’s not like people are putting their kids to bed in their school clothes or avoiding all grooming. They just aren’t giving their kids a full bath every night.
Also, as many have said, it sometimes depends on time of year and activities. Like my kid usually bathes on school days but won’t take a bath today because we are hanging out at home and we can bathe tomorrow since it’s a holiday. I won’t shower today either because I’ve just been relaxing and baking and really don’t need to.
People are making too much of this. Even the more occasional bathers have said their kids bathe daily in warm weather when they are outside every day.

Pediatricians/dermatologists do not recommend daily baths for children under 6. Daily bathing is permitted, but not recommended for children from six to onset of puberty. Daily bathing is of course recommended from puberty on. DD who is five gets four baths/showers a week, unless we go to the pool where she also gets a shower after. She doesn't smell and has great hair - and also has never had eczema or other skin issues.
