Any updates on this incident? There often seem to be weird things happening at Oakton. Not sure why.

I just hate the whole dog and pony show of political correctness. I don't think you can blame the administration for this one. It wouldn't have even gone public if Faith hadn't taken it public. Note -- Faith wasn't even the recipient of the email. The recipient of the email has not spoken to the press. There are rumors that Faith is the one who sent the email to get her name in the media.

Not our family’s experience. Oakton has had some rough patches but we have always found Ms. Lane and her team to be helpful and caring leaders.

My kids go to Oakton and it seems normal enough. No clue why they seem to have these things in the press. Is it just that other schools have similar that don't get press?

I do question why the cheer team has had two coaches in two years--and I think in 2021 the coach quit mid way thru the season. A friend has a kid on the team and never said anything negative but maybe I never asked the right questions.
