I agree as well! I’m actually back in the office 2xs a week to get away. I also kinda enjoy seeing people. I love my DH, but I don’t need to be with him 24hrs a day. He also likes to vent to me like I’m his coworker and I humor him and listen, but to be honest , I really don’t care. I know that sounds mean and realize he needs to vent , but I wish he had his coworkers to vent to at his corporate office.

I am right there with you.
I'm going to keep working for a long time just to keep myself busy, even though he is planning to retire in a few years.

DH felt this way - about me! I've worked remotely full-time for several years (even before COVID), and DH got a new job last year that was all remote. We set up separate workspaces in different rooms of the house, and didn't see each other much during the day except the occasional lunch together. Nevertheless, he never really managed to transition from working 100% onsite to WFH, and confided after 6 months that it just wasn't working for him... he was distracted by another person being in the house (me). tbf, he never framed it as criticism of me, just that WFH and him don't mesh well.

Since then, he's transitioned to 1-2 days WFH, sometimes from a different location, and goes into the office 3x a week. He's much happier and more productive.

ugh, having to hear the tv all day even if in background from another room would drive me crazy

So sorry OP! It's good to get a glimpse into this now. DH and I see each other maybe 30min a day in little spurts. When one of us travels (maybe once every 2 months) we notice. Retirement will be great.

Don't let it get you down OP! You also never know how the two of you will change over the years. Consider you started off most likely wanting to be together 24/7. You're a little different now, but who knows what'll happen in 10-20 years.
