Not healthy to transfer germs. You can instead kiss on head or forehead.

We are super affectionate and a ton of kisses and hugs. Never on the lips for kids or anyone not my spouse. Mostly due to germs but just not done in my family.

I agree with you, yet I also don’t kiss my kids on the lips. I kiss them on the cheek and head, and hug them a lot. Possibly too much.

I was never kissed on lips by parents and we don't kiss children on the lips. I think you're weird for kissing children on lips.
