If they don’t, I am perfectly fine with the Biden administration ignoring the judge and letting the Marshals figure out how to enforce these decisions. As a lawyer, I don’t say this lightly.
These judges are flirting with danger. I don’t think many of them truly comprehend the level of disgust and hatred people are developing for the fundamentalist fanatics trying to take over our country. They are hoping for a righteous civil war a la Iran, and are convinced God is on their side. The world has changed, and Americans have changed. The outcome these days is more likely to be a mass purging of the fundies from all aspects of civil life and the severe constriction of religious practice in America. And they will have brought it all on themselves.

The story focuses on abortion, but the bigger picture here is that a single state is trying to make a ruling on medication that undermines FDA authority. The power to approve drugs is solely granted to the FDA and is part of the Code of Federal Regulations. It is the law of the land. If this is ever successful, it'd mean pharmaceutical companies in the future will try to bypass FDA authority and try to lobby each individual state in order to sell their new drugs that might not even work or be safe. It's be an unprecedented disaster for patient safety, healthcare costs and the way medicine works in this country. The drug is FDA approved, therefore the maker has a right to sell it in any state. FDA power has been built on 100 years of case law. I doubt this goes anywhere, otherwise it sets up the country for disasters in the future.
Can this judge be disbarred or impeached based on this case? He is clearly incompetent.

Wait until he hears about the PTSD some women have after giving birth.

So you admit this ruling has no basis in fact or law, but is really just about petty revenge?
You seem like a nice person. Just like the judge.
The judge allledges that the FDA makes decisions based on politics not on science or safety concerns. This is a serious allegation which warrants investigation. They should have Congressional hearings.
