I would say the quality is as one would expect. It’s not like the literal best constructed thing I’ve ever worn, but also definitely thoughtfully cut and quality fabrics. It’s expensive bc the style is distinguishable from cheaper brands. Like you aren’t going to find certain of their blazers, tops and dresses at a brand that’s 50% cheaper.

Akris when you can find it on sale - go to Saks or Neiman's and try a few pieces on for sizing and then stalk the Akris site. Of give them a call, they're great about finding sizes at their stores. Their suiting lasts forever. Three Dots heritage crew neck (cotton) tees (black, navy or white), work well under blazers (once you figure out the sizing) or with jeans - you can often get them online at Bloomingdales at 20% off. They don't stretch, shrink, or fade. I can't speak for the blends, only the cotton. Every once in a while Finley has a cute print shirt that works with solid pants - I have an old one that always gets compliments and I think I've worn it for 10 years. Picked it up in an NM last call sale and I always scroll, looking for another.

I didn't read the whole thread but I would splurge on a Smythe blazer in a neutral color. You can wear it for work or for casual and it will elevate every outfit.
