I had one kid at each and both did very well. Depends on the kid. If they like lots of action then Jackson reed. Otherwise walls.

Jackson Reed all the way. My JR kid LOVES his school. My Walls kid, similarly academic acumen thinks social life is mediocre and kids live too far apart. I also have a private step kid (GDS) that sometimes begs me to switch to Jackson Reed fwiw.

In most cases, "smart" or "super smart" is far and few. It's more about work ethic and executive functioning. With the later being most important at Walls. So "yes" they can succeed and do very well. But if a kid has poor executive functioning skills, it will go down hill pretty quickly. Just like college..no different.
