Who has a tried and true copy cat recipe? I’d like to try to make them. Thanks!

They were always bland to me and I hate thin flat crispy cookies.

Tate's cookies are gross. I don't allow my family to eat pre-packaged foods anyway.

+1. The thin WF cookies are great.

Used to love Tates but now they are even in my hardware store- they’re everywhere- and they’ve lost that buttery taste. Also the choc chips taste waxy.

Yeah I think they are less buttery than they used to be, or maybe they don't use the same butter.

The texture has become cheap. The crumble isn’t crisp anymore. It’s more brittle, if that makes sense. Butter flavor is gone. Feels and tastes more oily. Not worth $6 anymore. Pointless calories at this point for no enjoyment.

They are salty, oil crumbles now, no good.

Used to buy these often. Bought a few times recently and they are so different. Not crunchy and really have no taste. The buttery flavor is gone, now they’re oily. The new big company owners changed the recipe and now they’re worse than ordinary. Terrible actually. So sad because I really used to enjoy these.

THIS! I normally don't like store bought cookies (packaged or from the bakery section) but these were amazing.

Unfortunately.........I agree with everyone who tastes the difference. We bought a bag of chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin (luckily at a very cheap price due to a market super sale) and both were not good at all. They had a very cheap tasting quality to them. And they even looked cheap tasting. Haha. I spoke to a rep at their customer service center I got off the website and she was dismissive of my claims. She said Tate's has their own factory when I mentioned that Mondelez Foods has cheapened their brand. Sadly, another one time very good product bites the dust. But I guess......that's how the cookie crumbles in today's world.
