I don’t think school admins have the time to be this petty. They know they are a wide variety of reasons that kids might not enroll even after the deposit/contract (still waiting to hear from other schools, moves, health/finance changes, etc). That’s why they take a deposit. I think it’s obnoxious to string schools along and I’m sure the schools would rather folks didn’t, but I also don’t think it’s worth their time to try to track these people down.
