I don’t think this will go anywhere.
Pretty sure that it has legs. The FBI and Justice Department public integrity section wouldn't open an investigation that encompasses the former DMPED and deputies if this were just a follow up to his boorish behavior in the workplace environment. According to the article, it includes DC's real estate deals. Still TBD is the extent of the tainted activity. This may pull on a thread that leads to other city agencies and elsewhere in the office of the Mayor.

Arguably, the real news may be if there is a report on his various activities as the go-to "liaison" between the mayor and well-connected parties in the DC real estate development sector.

It appears that the FBI and the US Department of Justice may care about it a lot.
