Today’s usage:

2 pair for thick cut bacon 🥓 baked in the oven
1 pair for slicing 24 Oz regular bacon rendered for salads this week
2 Pair for mixing and shaping Keto Sausage balls
1 pair for cleaning and sanitizing

1 pair to make burger Patties
1 pair to prep and wash green beans for frying
1 pair to remove from flour
2 pair for egg wash and dry keto batter
1 pair for cleaning and sanitizing

12 pair used today

Not one regret. Space taken up in trash: less than two diapers.

Maybe you and OP can go in on the therapist together, and get a group discount? You need gloves to wash green beans? Two separate pairs of gloves for "cleaning and sanitizing"? This is waste, and indicative of some kind of compulsion because it has nothing to do with sanitation.

It has to do with washing after breakfast and lunch and not wanting cleaning products on hands

I'm judging you really hard. Guess you don't care about your children's or grandchildren's future.

No, but sometimes DH uses gloves when he's doing a rub for brisket or pork shoulder, something that's extremely messy and will stain. I only use gloves when I make cowboy candy, because otherwise I will invariably scratch my eye or something and be in pain for 3 hours.

I refuse to believe anyone actually does anything this bizarre in real life.

Doesn’t the latex coating come off in the food? The only time I wear gloves is for handling fish/deveining shrimp.

The plastics from the gloves are SO much worse than the bacteria ever could be. And so incredibly wasteful.

How does she shop at a grocery store? Can she pick up produce? Or does she have to get all her groceries delivered? This is fascinating.

How do you eat fruit, like apples? Do you use a fork?

She probably washes them with bleach and hand sanitizer.

OP -- come back! I really want to know if you put on gloves before eating fruit. Do you go to dinner parties and put a pair on before taking something from the crudite platter?

I want to know if she's housebound because of this fear of touching food without gloves.

I really don’t worry about microplastics from latex gloves.

She left off the question mark but her post title is a question.

The literacy level on this site has really gone downhill.

OP can ask if one uses gloves, but not asking for unprofessional advice about therapy or anything else.

The Chairborne rangers who think they are behaviorial experts is out of control.

OP reads like a yes or no question to me.

So if someone asked “what is the best way to kill myself” you’d just answer the question, ma’am, no commenting on whether it’s a good idea or not?

Welcome to Hyperbole World of DCUM. Some equates glove use to asking about suicide. Clearly it is not the OP who needs help:

I also use gloves when prepping.

My hands don’t turn orange when peeling carrots.
My hands don’t smell of Garlic or onions when slicing and mincing.

Yes I wash all my produce. You sure don’t know what germy hands have been handling the apples or Broccoli in the Piggly Wiggly!

I don’t even recycle or compost so I am not concerned about the trash of nitrile gloves. I’m so thankful Costco sells them by the case!

Never once used gloves when cooking

I’ll wear gloves for handling raw meat, or when I’m pulling apart 10 lbs of smoked pork. My hands are in such terrible shape that if I wash them too much they get painfully dry.
