You can't, but kids don't care. At least, if we're talking about middle school. MCPS can block them, but kids are smart. That fact may seem surprising to you all. They are humans with brains. *mind blown* And humans with brains can easily bypass the "security measures." No kid is going on P0rnhub so be quiet.

Some elementary schools have one-to-one devices where every child is issued a device and then some schools have a bunch of them in a cart in the building.

Most of the controls are based on the mcps internet blockers, so it's not possible to replicate that at home.

You have to manage connections via your firewall and ISP settings.

You need to notify the school. Those websites are supposed to be blocked.

They are not. The MS kids all know about pornhub and how to access it on the Chromebooks. And it’s not just that site, there are plenty of others.

Can we please get rid of the chrome books now? I hear Julius West went back to carts and it has reduced screen time and student distraction.

Lots of middle schools are going back to carts next year. The system can’t afford the millions they spend replacing dropped and damaged chromebooks and teachers are sick of the disruption to learning the Chromebooks create.

Not to mention the teachers would have a lot more control over when the kids are using devices if they're locked up in carts.

Mcps is also getting rid of goguardian which is one of the best tools for managing when kids are off topic or off task on a Chromebook
