seriously, NoVa reminds me of LA concrete jungle sometimes.

It might do you good to actually travel around NoVa a bit before posting such nonsense.

NoVa is not LA.

- LA native

I have been on the freeways there. It is a mass of concrete.

It's called having development and infrastructure, sweetie. Unlike Bethesda/Chevy Chase where 50,000 boomers clog up a one lane street every morning passing the one semi decent restaurant in their city to get to the real job centers in the region (DC and Nova)

At that point education will be destroyed in the state so hiring will be an issue. Plus Republicans will raise taxes and he won't be able to bring talent in from other places.

Yes, you see there is a trickle effect it will seem slow but by 2025 it's all over.

VA is screwed.

Bezos has definitely not told anyone this — why would he care if Virginia is Republican? Lower tax rates for Amazon that way. He doesn’t care about actual policy outcomes for regular people, he makes money either way.

Wrong people are refusing to move to VA he can not get talent.

Try again.

According to my DH who is a lawyer for Amazon, they are not moving high paid people to the area because of relocation costs. They are able to recruit the talent they need but they are not up and running yet.

Plenty of engineering talent already in Virginia, which is part of the reason they picked that site in the first place, and you don't need to live in Virginia to work in Crystal City, you could easily commute from D.C. or Maryland.

Bezos doesn't run Amazon anymore. He gets his money from stock, just like some of the employees.

Even more reason he doesn't care what happens in Virginia or any other place.
