Why? I'm a PP who feels the same. Love my kid, can't imagine life without him, would make the same choice over and over. But pre-him? Didn't want kids and wouldn't have unless society expected them.

In my circle (DH and I went to the same law school) having kids in your 20s was unheard of. We were one of two couples we knew who did. So I guess I would, since I did when I was surrounded by people in perpetual adolescence.

I probably would have intentionally only had one. I played with the idea when I was younger, but sort of brushed it off as weird. Then, surprise, ended up with one child due to infertility anyways. But it’s a much different journey to decide by choice versus end up there by failure and struggle.

Yes. DH and I hadn't planned on having kids when we got married despite the "social norms" and expectations but then one day I decided I wanted kids. DH was onboard. And now, I can't imagine life without my DC.
