It’s funny though because some people actually feel this way. They are so invested in their evangelical beliefs that they think that gay is a mental illness that can be cured.

Anyone that hasn’t seen it, strongly suggest watching “Pray Away” on Netflix. It’s a documentary put out in 2021 about conversion therapy and the collapse of Exodus International.

Matt's challenges in this area are not humorous. People need to stop criticizing and start helping him surmount them and it may take some contributions is all that was being said.

Ideally, a husband would have shared about his same-sex attraction with his wife before they married, and allowed her to make an eyes-wide-open decision about whether to join him on this journey. But too many times, he didn’t — either out of shame or denial or the false belief that marriage to a woman would somehow make his SSA go away.
