The fact that they floated the bill to the other council members and couldnt get any other sponsors shows where the rest of the council is leaning on this IMO
democrats are insane. There’s an uptick in crime in dc and what do Dems do? Lower penalties for violent crime

When you have police officers working mandatory overtime and moving from their home district to cover work in another you have a huge problem.

When you have detectives and plain clothes officers now required to carry their uniform with them to cover shifts after their shift, you have a huge problem.

If this bill passes, they will have less police wanting to join. This is solidly an anti-police bill, dressed up as an equity or an equality bill.

Next, they'll try to ban cars altogether. You can't be pulled over while driving black if no one is allowed to drive! Think of the pedestrians!

Don't threaten me with a good time.

I’m not sure of your question here. What other counties have passed this?

The story is starting to hit the local news networks. I just read it on Fox five.

The bill
Is being introduced today. Jawando described the grounds he wants to ban being pulled over for is “driving while black”.

Good news.

they don’t work though

They obviously do work. If they didn't work, people wouldn't complain about them.

Just look at DC

They're complaining because they got cited because they didn't stop properly. Stop sign cameras work.

Except Moco doesn't do anything if people don't pay the fines from the cameras. In any event, under Jawando's bill, the simple solution to all this nonsense is just to remove your license plates when driving in Moco -- you can't be pulled over for it.
