We were happy to receive a very nice china set from parents, along with some upholstered “brown” furniture. We use the china on holidays and special occasions. We also have a Spode Xmas set we use during the Xmas holidays. We bought complementary traditional furniture and put them all together in our living room, which we use all the time. We also have and use a formal dining room to eat together as a family for most dinners. Breakfast & lunch usually are at the kitchen breakfast table.

I do like a mix of new/old but what she has will not work with what we have. We took a few pieces but I’m not taking the whole house.
Brown furniture is coming back in--you may change your mind.

Their buying price is much lower than their selling price, partly because they have to have warehouse space to store items which are available for sale. We have bought replacements for china items which broke during use from there.
