OP. It keeps her hair smoother and shinier. She has greasy and frizzy hair that the conditioner before shampoo helps with.
I also forgot to mention that she washes her face twice a day with a cleanser and water. Thank you for your responses!
Did you actually answer the question as everyone is asking about whether she is also taking showers? Or is that once per week bath (plus washing her face every day) all that she’s doing?
OP again. That's all that she's doing. On long weekends she'll bathe twice a week, but that's it.
My curly hair girl washes here hair 2x a week since it is quite dry.
But she’ll take a couple shower body rinses in between since she plays two sports at this young age, sweats clean sweat (pre puberty, no BO yet).
However my older girl has straight hair- these are white children- and MUST shower or bathe every other day, use deodorant/antiperspirant, and brush her hair twice a day due to body odor over time and greasy hair on bangs and crown of head.
Use shampoo first, rinse very well, then a small amount of conditioner on bottom ends of hair only, rinse. Do not use conditioner first as well/ that makes zero sense and makes shampoo less useful.
As for baths, if you’re not taking one every other day, then do not put clean hair back into the water that has a mix of shampoo, grease, conditioner, bath bomb, etc. Thays a terrible idea for skin and making hair greasy faster. Or dryer as well.
Are you American OP? Is something cultural going on?
