Yes, they want you and people like you, to fit into their box of what constitutes a proper human being.
A proper human being doesn’t put on a fake colorful phalange and wave it in front of young children,encouraging them to touch it. I would feel the same way if it was a heterosexual and/or biological male/female doing the same

NP. I have had the flu and Covid. Covid gave me heart problems, the flu did not. Just because you didn’t have a problem with Covid, doesn’t mean others didn’t. You can’t possibly be that self-centered.
Are you saying because Covid gave you heart problems, it was ok to shut down schools? In a healthy society we sacrifice adults to protect children, not the other way around.
Are you saying it is ok to expose every child in America to a virus that was unknown at the time and in hindsight is causing significant health issues (ie longcovid) to a large percentage of kids and adults in this country?
The powers that be had no problem doing that with the vaccine.

Then let's see the red stats reject federal monies. Please, the red states are generally taker states that take in more federal money than they pay in. The blue states and particularly NY, CA, MA and DC, pay in much more than they get out.

When you have plenty of money, you need to virtue signal to defend your wealth and justify that you deserve it. The same people melt down when the policies they voted for personally affect them.

I know several families who helped their children with school during Covid with great success. Apparently, the difference is that their parents actually cared about taking responsibility for their children's education and others, like you, found it easier to blame your laziness and incompetence on schools closing.
There were a ton of kids in their early teens or tweens when the schools shut down, that are now out there jacking cars and the like. The crime surge of today was set in stone when vulnerable kids were denied their one stabilizing institution. What any one parent did or did not do is dwarfed by this effect.

Not that poster, but, yes. Boomer lives are worth a year of school shut downs to me. I don't like that schools shut down, but it was a reasonable response. Maybe all the teachers didn't want to be "sacrificed" for your children!
They wouldn’t have had to teach anymore. They could quit. No one put a gun to their head to force them to still teach.

As an independent and so-called bOtHsIdEr I have to laugh. Dems like to think they have a conscience and care about inequality. However, when rubber meets the road, many aren’t. The best way examples can be seen in the education threads. Some accept Dem policies are great on paper but not when it applies to or affects their children. You can also look at the suburbanites who moved to the cities and complain about for example lack of xyz services.
Over the past decade, I have lost all respect for Independents. That look is not as flattering as it once was.
Feeling is mutual.
