To a PP. For me, this is helpful. Especially when assessing a school for longer period than just high school. Knowing this, I may take a look more at SSFS, Burke, or Maret closer than some of the $55k schools. Even if you’re talking about middle school and high school. $10k a year with modest 8% return will give you an extra $90k by high school graduation you could have vs paying extra tuition at Bullis.
I can’t believe Gonzaga is so much less! We probably would’ve ended up at the same college if we had gone to Gonzaga and we would’ve saved all of that money. I hear the parent community is much nicer there as well.

The other big fee items you have to consider are: text books, technology, athletics, test fees, and other ECs. Some schools charge for these, some don't. Most of those are things everyone has to pay, as opposed to lunch and transportation which some people need and others don't.

I was looking a few years ago and thought Burke was $40k back then. If so, that’s quite a price hike.
It’s same as all others. Most have had $5k increase in just one year.
Burke's HS tuition hasn't increased $5K total across the last 4-5 years, and certainly not in one year. (Was just below $42K in 2018/19 to $46K now) Recent increases have mostly been in the 2-3% range.

Many schools do not charge extra fees. It annoys me that Bullis does. They nickle and dime us on top of the high tuition.
Huh? They all have fees. SFS has a textbook fee, tech fee, yearbook fee. SSFS has an intersession fee, textbook fee, and athletic fees. SSSAS has a parent association fee, tech fee, book fee, and even a graduation fee!
Holton doesn't charge extra for most of the items you listed
Neither does Potomac.
