Yes, because in the US, having this child will completely bankrupt you and your family for the rest of your life.

Your other kids may end up going down the path to prison.

I would terminate. I am a Christian and do not believe God wants us to suffer (baby or parents in this case).

My child was diagnosed with a rare condition at 20 weeks. It took me so long to get pregnant I was stubborn and proceeded anyway. It took a huge emotional, physical and monetary toll on me and I don't think I could do it again.

I watched my child suffer while waiting for a life saving medical intervention and it was awful. Would not recommend.

You should not have kids.

I feel like that is so much more of a gray area. I honestly don't know what I would have done. What would your thought process have been?

I feel like it would have been obvious at an early scan (12 weeks) to make it easier to terminate, but this person didn't get it until 4/5 months.

I would have terminated with no second thought.

I would terminate. Life would be miserable for the child.

This country will not help you raise that baby or defray the costs. Or take care of the person once the caregivers are infirm or dead. You will be bled dry by doctors, hospitals, and insurers.

Terminate. This country has made its priorities clear.

In the "old days", that baby would have been left to die in most cases.

Or, the mother would be lied to and told the baby died soon after birth.

You are not going to get an award for bringing a non viable human being into the world, as many evangelical christians seem to believe.

I thought from the title it was the potential mom who had no limbs.

My Dad's a developmentalist and he's very honest about the impact he sees. Divorces in this kind of situation are really common with one parent just totally bailing. It gets a lot harder as the kid gets older.
