This is true. The Ravens are by far a much better team than the Bengals

Yup, I mean, they were one ridiculously bad play-call away from being bumped in the first round

Oooh looks who's complaining about officiating now!

No. play-calling, not officiating. That QB sneak from the 3 yard line. That wasn't bad officiating; it was bad coaching

[though there was a block in the back on Andrews on the fumble return, but that doesn't excuse the horrible play call]

Oh sorry, I misread. I agree, that was a head-scratcher. Arrogance I guess.

What's up with LJ anyway? Does he even return next year?

Not PP but doubt it. Probably for the best with his attitude and injury rate. I read an article in the Post predicting he land in Atlanta. Just so long as he doesn’t go to another AFC north team that’s fine by me!

'Bitter Ravens Fan' here, and maybe I'm just being a naive homer, but I think he returns to BAL next year. Even if its the franchise tag.

Now, if they are the same point again 12 months from now, the 'franchise + trade him' outcome is much more likely.

But I do believe that Ravens team is SB quality. They did well with Linderbaum + Hamilton in the draft last year, and if they hit on a few more, this defense could be stacked.

So I think he's back for one more year for that SB run, but after that, its probably 50/50

The bolded really says it all.

Does it though? When he got hurt in 2021, they were 8-3 and were the #1 seed in the AFC. When he got hurt in 2022, they were leading the division and still in the hunt for the #1 seed.

They had the best secondary in football last year, and honestly did the job against Burrow & Chase in the playoffs.

It's not crazy to think this team would have had a shot last year and this year if LJ doesnt get hurt

Huntley panicked on the 3 yard non-sneak and the fumble return Td took all the wind out of me. I’m getting slightly nervous that they haven’t hired an OC. It could be that they’re waiting for a candidate to emerge after the Super Bowl.

I don’t know the business side of football but I’m getting nervous that the Lamar contract will cripple other positions that need to be filled and we’ll have to make some cuts due to the cap space.

Yeah, I think they only have about 30 million in cap space right now and all of that will go to Lamar, which really limits off season moves.

So what if he has fun dressing up on gameday. Overall I find the group of younger QBs like Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Hurts, Tua, etc. exciting. I hope most can stay healthy!

I'd add Lamar Jackson to this group too. But I agree, way more interesting than a couple aging QB stars that need to Retire Already.
