I don’t think you should feel stressed out. But I do think many of us feel that we were blindsided when we became parents at the costs we were not prepared for of childbirth and motherhood. Especially the birth injuries and issues many of us experience after our babies are born - right now the medical field takes an approach of believing that women do better not to be educated about these risks and bad things that can happen instead thinking they will just deal with them after wards. This approach then blindsides any woman who had postpartum issues and also creates a scenario where these things are wrapped in secrecy and shame. And the whole, “don’t tell expectant moms your bad birth story,” becomes another way to shame and silence women, by basically suggesting your experience was an anomaly and is not worthy of someone’s
