Some guy probably thought it was a great idea and should have test run it with the other half of the population.
Mine is halfway down my back, and I never use conditioner. I hate screaming high-maintenance, but come on, this is a dumb rant.
I found it interesting. The conditioner is always crappy when they have it. I always bring my own. But I didj't think it was a gendered thing, I just assumed the supplies were bare-boned.

This! If you're someone who cares about conditioner, don't you pack your own preferred brand? I feel like the hotel shampoo and conditioner are there for people who forgot to, or whose luggage was lost.

Absolutely. I would never use hotel toiletries by choice. My husband would, however. Most men don’t care.
+1. My husband just uses whatever they have, or poaches mine if for some reason he doesn't like the scent of the hotel-provided stuff or whatever. He never packs his own. And he doesn't use conditioner anyway. But I do, so I always have it of course.

My gripe about hotel bathrooms is the lack of hooks for towels.

I have “normal” hair. It’s straight, not fine, not thin, not thick, not dry, not oily, not curly, etc. Any typical shampoo/conditioner works fine. My girls both have thickly wavy hair from their dad’s side and are much more particular with what they put in their hair.

I've been traveling with just a carry-on, so I'm limited in liquids. I like having an option, but hotel conditioner is rarely any good.

I stayed at a boutique hotel recently that had the clear glass shower stall be part of the bathroom wall. So from the bedroom you could see into the shower. It was unsetting. Sure it steams up once you are in there for a bit but I hated it even though I was alone in the room. Thankfully it wasn't a time I was sharing a room with a friend!

Completely agree. No fan, not enough (or any) hooks/towel racks, bad lighting, weird half glass shower "partition" that lets the floor get soaking wet... this can't be that hard!!
One hotel had a vast blank wall that would have been ideal if they had just put some towel racks and/or hooks on it!!

Sure people often pack their own. But if you forget or have your luggage lost, most people will need both shampoo and conditioner! (And none of that 2-in-1 crap, either.)
