What do I like: decor or styles that are organic, warm, and lasting. This can be found in all styles, but it’s much harder to make “industrial” come across as warm. I like styles that come across as caring, that encourage conversation and human interaction, that feel healthy (so I am not a fan of a lot of plastic, for instance).

I dislike clutter, but also dislike styles so spare that they look like fancy prisons.

Boho with lots of macrame and plants. Not my thing.

I like comfortable and cozy. A couch or chair that you enjoy sitting in, where can put your feet up (no shoes), use cozy throw blanket, and pillows that are for using rather than just décor.

Warm colors on the wall so the room is inviting, but not overstimulating. No clutter, but also not bare. My home is not a museum or a store front.

I don't know if there is a word for it, but I'm told my home is cozy and it puts guests at ease.

I love MCM and I could care less if other people hate it.
Some people who see my house don't say anything and some of them gush over my stuff. It's all vintage that I collected and it makes me happy.
My friend's "Fresh Eggs" and "Gather" distressed signs in her kitchen makes her happy. Not my thing and that's fine.

I don't mind the look of mid-century modern but find it very uncomfortable.

Not a fan of modern as it just looks cold to me. Its fine in an office or a hotel but not in a home.

I don't really like farmhouse either. I feel like it's a quick fad.
