Delighted that you enjoyed your trip and by your coming back to check in. I wish more would do this.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Italy is overrated. Much better choices in Europe for what you want, OP.
Don't listen to this OP. If you love history, wine, and hiking, you will love Italy. Don't try and do it all in one trip. Figure out a couple of things that are must-sees for you, then plan your trip.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Do Rome, not Tuscany. Reason: DO NOT plan to drive a car there if this is your first visit especially if it's only a week.
You can do plenty from Rome and have more options for train travel to smaller locations for day trips/hikes.
I love Rome but it’s a totally different experience than what OP seems to be after in terms of wineries and hikes, and she did say she wanted Tuscany.

No. Before you go, check to see if they are still checking for Covid vaccination (they were last spring when I went). The sinister music was poking fun at a PP who makes oblique statements attacking Italy. As long as you have 6+ months left on your passport, barring any Covid vaccine reqs (which may have been dropped), you will be fine. It’s not overly complicated, and you will have a wonderful time!
They stopped doing this in June 2022, except for places like nursing homes and hospitals. Not sure what the current situation is, but I doubt that OP will need to pull out a vaccination card anywhere.
Even when they said you needed a card, no one checked it at all. We were there last May and never once did anyone ask.

We want to go to greece, italy and many other places
Thanks!

Yeah, OK. That explains it. So yes, you need to go to many places before Italy. Trust me.
“Trust me.” …sinister music plays in the background.
I’m going to Italy for my first time in 2023. Are there prerequisites/stamps I need in my passport before they let me into the country? This is getting complicated 😉
