One Italian Summer

My fave of that group I guess was one Italian summer. Once a year my book club meets at a book related restaurant instead of someone’s house and we had a great meeting outside at an Italian restaurant to discuss that one.

I loved this! She has another book coming out in 2023!

The Candy House - Jennifer Egan. I resisted reading this because I so loved A Visit from the Goon Squad, but this book was gorgeous and gave me the same feelings as A Visit.

Sea of Tranquility - Emily St. Mandel just has “it” for me. I think and feel her books long after reading them.

Lost & Found (memoir) - Kathryn Schulz. A beautiful book about grief and love with exquisite writing.

Oh William! and Lucy By the Sea. - Elizabeth Strout. Cheating here because I finished Oh William late last year, but they go together. Elizabeth Strout could write a menu and I would read it.

Less is Lost - Andrew Sean Greer. Such a delight!

You might like Empress of Salt and Fortune (or maybe not— they are very different books, but it belongs on my list of favorite books I read in 2022, even if it is a novella)
