The teaching staff, the paras are thinly stretched, yes.
But central office, not so much. Unless you think Jabba The Hutt is a svelt.

Clarksburg + Blair + Magruder = 3 times MCPS didn’t follow the law. Clark’s burg and Blair happened before Magruder. Perhaps things could have been learned with Clarksburg and Blair to improve safety before the Magruder incident happened.

MCPS has Central Office employees who should be on top of the reporting requirements as part of their jobs.

Let’s not forget the Damascus rape case where admin basically tried to just pretend nothing had happened. This is a pattern in MCPS. We see it over and over.

+1 Loudon County had a grand jury investigation that uncovered a whole host of problems. Montgomery County needs to do the same.

As soon as I heard about the LCPS Superintendent getting fired I wondered about when, not if, this will happen to McKnight.

The BOE that just gave her the permanent job is going to turn around and fire her?

That's what they did. Ziegler had just been hired in 2021. He didn't keep kids safe. He's gone.

Not gonna happen in MoCo

MCPS has a responsibility to follow all the laws. This goes for reporting serious incidents, reporting grades, reporting attendance, and following anti-discrimination laws including Section 504 and IDEA. Students suffer when MCPS uses their positions of power to hide problems vs. fixing problems when they occur. That is what a grand jury uncovered in LCPS. Montgomery County should have a grand jury investigation for MCPS.

The Clery Act only applies to higher education, not K-12. It was introduced because universities were failing to notify students and staff about crime on campus, and trying to handle on-campus crimes include rape "in-house" instead of turning it over to the local police. We need the same for K-12 schools.

So this is just twisted into another imaginary grievance.

Wrong thread. This thread is about violation of MARYLAND LAW, not the Cleary Act which has nothing to do with MCPS. But the MCPS PR department is well paid to
continue to post incorrect information to distract from the fact that MCPS failed to follow Maryland law.
MCPS even admitted they failed to follow Maryland law.

Are you the same person who always complains about "MCPS PR" whenever another poster disagrees with you? It's tiresome and makes you appear paranoid.

I'm pretty sure they are the same person who does that and complains about all these faux scandals which amount to nothing.

MCPS still didn't report critical incidents as required by law. MCPS admitted to not following the law.

Again, they reported the critical incidents. What did they did not do is holding an after-action MEETING ON TIME and file a report to the governor ON TIME.
You're an idiot trying to create fake outrage.

Not sure why they're always trying to create fake outrage but this isn't really anything to get worked up about. Maybe they can go back to bocce to focusing or the kids museum.

Violating the law is the code of Trump.

It's almost exclusively Black and brown kids getting hurt. MCPS does not care and will protect its reputation on the backs of these kids.

The law requires the after action meetings. The law requires the report to the governor. Only one of the three reports was filed with the governor.
They violated the law with regard to the after action meetings and by late filing one report and now filling the other two at all. Put that in all caps a
few times until it sinks in that MCPS violated the law with regard to critical incidents at schools.
Does that mean you're an idiot because you can't understand the law?

Sounds like the OP just doesn't grasp the law or just wants to find issues where there are none.
