Devil dogs, ring dings, and cupcakes with the white squiggly line were rich, real chocolate, deliciousness. I think Oreos are somewhat true to the original although the white stuff isn’t the same. Some of you may know Tate’s bakery since they’ve made it to the shelves of regional markets (only the cookies). I’m lucky to be near a brick and mortar Tate’s and they make the original Hostess cupcakes. They’re incredible. I add them to holiday dessert spreads for nostalgia.
To the pp that made me lol who indulges in “mini hotdogs wrapped in biscuits”… they’re called cocktail franks. Get the frozen kosher brand, they’re spot on original.
I was just going to say that. Most of this stuff isn’t nearly as good as it was when we were kids. I used to eat Pepperidge Farm cookies by the truckload, but now they don’t even make many of the cookies I grew up eating because the ingredients are too expensive. Same with Breyers ice cream that tastes disgusting now. It’s so sad.
