I was just going to say that. Most of this stuff isn’t nearly as good as it was when we were kids. I used to eat Pepperidge Farm cookies by the truckload, but now they don’t even make many of the cookies I grew up eating because the ingredients are too expensive. Same with Breyers ice cream that tastes disgusting now. It’s so sad.

Fried bologna sandwich with cheap white bread and yellow mustard. I grew up poor. This was actually a treat because the bologna was $2.99/pack of 10 slices whereas the generic chicken hotdogs were $1.99/10. My mom almost always bought the hotdogs.

Bean dip is still out there and as good as ever. It's actually not bad for you. I get a few cans every year.

For the spam lover, have you tried lomo MoCo with spam? It’s so good. They serve it in most Hawaiian diners.
For oP, I used to love Coke so much my mouth would water when I heard a can pop. I don’t drink it much anymore but still crave it with certain things like Mexican food. I guess maybe my parents always let me get a Coke when we went out to eat, and we usually went to Mexican restaurants?
Forget hair of the dog, best hangover food is tacos and an icy Coke, but only if the carbonation is strong and the syrup or whatever is right. A delicate balance.
