OP here. I want to hear more about what he’s doing right! I get it, the media loves to talk about his eschewing of Covid guidance, Martha vineyard stunts, and the theater of his “dont say gay” bill—but these are the “culture war” type things. I’m hoping to learn more about the positives ways he’s improved life for the people of his state.
OP, if you're serious, here are some pointers.
Which other Governor...
Focused on protecting the elderly from Day 1 (the opposite of Cuomo)
Kept schools safely open most of 2021-2022, improving the lives of thousands of kids and their parents.
Prevented the massive riots that took place in so many other states, protecting the lives of an untold number of minorities.
Treated adults like adults, so that for example they could open and visit, safely, shops and restaurants.

He lied about Covid data and Florida has the highest rate of senior deaths. He had a dangerous surgeon general. Both made it entirely political.
I would never retire there with sky high housing costs. The restrictions on immigration make it tough to get things done around the house. My MIL has waited a year to get her driveway done. They can’t get yard workers. No thanks!

You have been exposed to way too much misinformation.
People over the age of 70, who were the most at-risk of covid death, have been safer in Florida than basically anywhere else.
Do the research, do the math. It's plain obvious if you dare to see it.
Please post this obvious research I am missing.
It's a very simple division.
Total Covid deaths/ people over the age of 70.
Do this across all states or, to simplify, simply do the big ones: CA, TX, NY, PA, IL ... and contrast with FL.
You'll learn a thing or two.
Remember that several counties around Tampa Bay had a sudden and severe surge in deaths by “senility” right at time Covid cases were surging. Florida also had a lot of extra “pneumonia” deaths with no other explanation, also in the middle of Covid case surges.

Well, yeah. I do want more.
As I said in the original post, I’m aware of what he’s known for in the media; you reference his handling of Covid, which we all know is centered around his strategy of basically carrying on with normal life. I guess that made life better for the kids and families who went to school and work every day, but I go back and forth on just how much credit someone should get for essentially eschewing cautionary measures and touting that ONLY 85k died under their watch. Who’s to say that’s a good number? It’s still very high.
Also, I just think it’s odd how he ties his Covid strategy to “freedom,” yet he scoffed at those college kids who chose to wear masks at one of his events and mocked it as “theater”—freedom means you can wear a mask if you want.
But we get it. Lots of people liked the stance he took on Covid. I can’t elect someone based on Covid, nor can I elect them because they own libs. I don’t care about political theater. The spirit of my post is more about producing results and I welcome Floridians to enlighten me on the benefits we don’t hear about in the media.
I get it. You're not serious.
Best luck!

False, false and false.
Folks, where do you get your "news"?

Nope.
They voted him because he did a good job. Not perfect, but certainly better than the majority of other states.
Paranoia is not your friend.
I get how Florida is running straight up from family and friends who live there.

What? Never saw do much careless disregard for at risk people as I saw in Florida. Did health care of workers even need to be vaccinated or masked?
At least 2 different in vaxxed health care workers were sent to my elderly, cancer ridden, parents home and tried to enter my and work with them. I had to actually call and demand... of a so called " health care agency", that this was among the highest risk clients out there and don't you dare send another anti vaxxer to their home. Do ignorant and it came from the top leaders in the state.
