Are you serious? When my kids were little the kids mentioned getting in a hot tub at a public pool at a pediatrician's office and we got quite a lecture from the doctor. They are gross.
If you have a modern hot tub, and you clean it weekly and monitor the chemical levels, it’s cleaner than the pool at your country club.

The older I get the less I want to get in a public swimming pool. Especially one with children.
Yeah, the fact that people won't wear shoes in the house but swim in public pools makes no sense.

There really needs to be a new forum here named this, where reader can move posts that reveal a particularly crippling level of helplessness. Such as, "I may be asked to do something at a party that I don't want to do. How should I respond? Should I do it the first time to be polite?" Hopefully the OP didn't use this approach when talking to her kids about cocaine.
For whatever reason, this site seems to attract a lot of people that need written instructions to get out of bed.
What person gets to the age of adulthood without learning how to say "no thanks" to an activity they don't want to participate in?

I like hot tubs, but I don't expect people to get in them at a party. Unless it's a group trip at an Airbnb with a hot tub, so people can all change after? But otherwise I don't get it. You can't shower, do you just stay in your bathing suit all night?
