You are uncomfortable with aging, clearly.
I do not look 45. Read my logical reasons. There is no reason to date much older unless a woman has to. There is no reason to date older than my age. I do not want or need a man’s money. That is the typical reason women date older. An older man would complicate my life logistically. No reason to deal with that when I have options of people a few years younger who would I not complicate my life with kids schedules.
You have issues with aging and each reply proves that.

BUT I get it, love is powerful. If you’re okay with sacrificing for the man you love in a few years, go for it. But realize it will be a difficult road and it wouldn’t be fair to resent him!

I think it’s sweet that he still wears his late wife’s ring. He must have loved her very much.
I’ve noticed that as we get older, humans diverge greatly in many things, health and fitness being one of them. I’m a 44 year old woman. Some women my age look like they are in their 20s, some look like they are 60. It depends on a lot of factors. Same for men. Some men are in their prime in their 50s. If he’s at a healthy weight, is active, non smoker, non- or moderate drinker, he likely has quite a few good years left in him.

I'm 57 and dating an amazing 23 year old. She just likes older men. She doesn't seem to be into it for the money, and doesn't want to have children.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It's not too old. Rule of thumb is half the older partner's age plus 7 years. 58/2 = 29. 29 + 7 = 36. It's fine. It's kind of May-December, but it's; fine. If you like the guy, go for it. He's probably counting his lucky stars that you're interested.
Who made this rule?
Anonymous wrote:keep in mind. Your dating clock is ticking. I know many men in their 50s that only date women in their 20s… finding a guy in his late 30s early 40s it’s going to be tough because they typically like woman in their late 20s or very early 30s.

I am newly divorced and finding younger men sensitive, kind, and overall amazing.
