You don't need a minivan for one child and to haul around others kids too lazy to drive their own.

I always find the minivan cheerleaders annoying. There are many people who don't like or want a minivan. When people ask about options for SUV's, just move on to another thread. I'm not sure why so many minivan promoters keep telling SUV drivers who don't like minivans to try out minivans because we're missing out.
I've rented a number of minivans over the years and driven ones my siblings had and ones that friends have. I have absolutely no interest in driving a minivan more than a week of vacation once a year. So, when I say that I don't want a minivan and want to discuss options for SUVs, stop with the suggestions to try a minivan. It's not an option and it's not a helpful suggestion, it's just a waste of time, both yours and mine.
I'm not the PP, but OP mentioned 3 row "cars" and didn't initially specify interest in SUVs only. If the reason for needing three rows is to regularly transport people, a minivan is the best option.

Not my teens. I would have loved to buy a Highlander but we've had Pilots instead. The overall length is an inch or two shorter than the Highlander but the interior space is much more useable. I've stuffed 6 or 7 tall teenage boys in the Pilot.
