A realistic person, for once. Lol. Also, gummy bears. And for an actual meal? A sandwich is fine!

I would be a depressed puppy if I had to eat like this. Why? Why? Why?

You would be depressed if you had to eat a sandwich? How precious you are.

DP. I hate sandwiches.

Sour Patch Kids, absolute road trip food!

OP here. The latter. Just powering through. Given the length of the drive, breaks will be quick. We're all fine eating as we drive.

That spread of food in a prior post looks amazing, but definitely not our road trip style!

We eat healthy overall, but there aren't rules with road trips. We're more in the PB&J sandwiches/snacky food camp but I'm loving the other ideas.

Um, because you are sitting in a car.

Even if you stop and eat at a picnic table somewhere, you are right back to sitting in a car. Who wants to eat a huge meal while they sit in the car for hours? And then carry around a bunch of smelly dishes.

I refuse to wash dishes at the end of a 12-hour drive. And a huge no to anything requiring utensils. Keep it simple. Snacks, finger foods, sandwiches in (gasp) ziploc baggies.
