Walls beat every private school in the DC—kudos to them!
And, for privates, Gonzaga bested NCS and SAAS.
Anonymous wrote:Wow the private school forum used to be the place to go to for snark and nastiness but you DCPS parents have got them beat now. Congrats. I bet your kids are super proud of you. Now…which school has the worst parent cohort? Shall we start the count and give out Nastiest Moms and Snarkiest Fathers awards?
Anonymous wrote:Can't we all just agree that awards are meaningless unless they go to your kid or a kid at your school. And that standardized tests mean nothing unless your school has good scores? That's what you are all saying. And what you all say, all day. We get it.
It’s funny because it’s true. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I have kids in two different Big3 privates and the schools do not offer a practice PSAT in 10th or 11th. My kid's friends at Walls took a practice test both years.
I'm not saying this results in different scores in 11th but there is definitely no emphasis on the PSAT at my kids' privates.
Love it when the private school parents desperately try to hold onto the status they think their private school confers on their kids.
What is heck is wrong with you? You're clearly insecure in YOUR choice. I'm sorry you can't afford better for your kids.
I was only answering those who falsely claimed that the private schools emphasize the PSAT. They don't. And again I'm not sure it impacts eventual scores.

It gets you literally nothing. Focus on something that matters, like the SAT (does that still matter?).

Sidwell; from 16 to 5. Last year was really a flux
Most DC private schools don’t push their students to take the PSAT.
Oh yes they do; at least the top ones.
Not really
Yes they do. Your children don’t attend top privates so why are you commenting on this fact?

I could listen to grown adults relive their glory days all day! Will you tell me about your HS baseball career next?
No but I can tell that there is a correlation between high test scores and college admissions. How long have you been in AA? Hope it is working out for you.
Was that an alcoholics anonymous joke? Really? That's the best you got? If you are going to try for mean and sarcastic, do better.
Not the PP but I thought it was hilarious
