Wouldn't that be due at least in part to bad parenting? Look at how she publicly treated Diana and Harry. She's not all sunshine and rainbows. She definitely has a dark side.
Plenty of us went to boarding school and had a wonderful time. My friends from that time are still like sisters. You won’t understand because you’ve never experienced it.

So many elderly people decline/pass soon after their spouse does. I figured she’d pass within 6 months of Prince Philip. That was April 2021. I’m very surprised she’s made it this long.
I always felt like she was hanging on for the Jubilee. That was her last big duty to the country. Since then, she had nothing to keep her going. She knew it is her time. She said goodbye. People got to tell her goodbye and thank her for everything.

The last few years have been rough, and her longtime husband died last year. It’s not too surprising.

aside tourist tip: this is open to the public (unless the royal family is in residence) and a very cool and easy visit when you're in Edinburgh.
