Very well done Molly and Emily - glad you have each other now.

Yes, I was really impressed that they managed to get 2nd place after dealing with that knee injury.

Also love the twins but not unhappy with who won. I wonder what the extent of Emily's injury was and if there were any lasting effects from not quitting the race.

Yes, should have just looked it up:

Gold Derby: How is your leg? What was the exact injury?
Emily: What is the official — you say it so beautifully.
Molly: She had bilateral stress fractures. Stress fractures in her tibia and both of her knees.
Emily: Thank you. My left leg was fractured. It was a deeper fracture. I dunno if deeper is the right word, but it was a bigger fracture. [Laughs] I think the right leg was fractured in Nashville because I didn’t have any pain until I got home the next day. It was a lot. My bones are fully healed. It took about eight weeks. I’ve been in physical therapy. I hope to get back up and running within the next month.

She really powered through the race. I would have been happy with any team to win. I hope Derek and Claire make it as a couple, they were so cute.

Yes! It's like the contestants who go on Survivor without being strong swimmers or knowing how to swim.

I think this was the first season where I really liked all of the final 3 teams. I would have been happy with any who won.

^^But Penn and Kim are a very close second for most positive!

I've watched every episode of every season (went back and binged from season 1 to present during covid) and I don't think I've ever seen a team as consistently positive, fun and delightful as Luis and Michelle. They were just a breath of fresh air!

Here's an interview with Emily explaining her injuries starting at the 4th minute. First it was injuries in her right quad. The overcompensating eventually caused the stress fracture in her left tibia.

Derek & Claire have said they practiced driving stick before the show, but I think the issue has been not all stick shifts are the same.

Rooting for Derek & Claire but love Molly & Emily as well.

Bummer about Abby and Will being disqualified from Covid.
