Honestly, I’d be surprised if the swing is that little. Between the GOP wanting to force ten year olds to accept motherhood and the same GOP making laws that will kill women, I just don’t think most women are going to love the consequences of the GOP.

They see voters who vote as a threat to their idea of democracy.

Other than abortion, the GOP's facist, anti-democratic attempt to overthrow a legal election, after impeding transition for months, is at the top of my concerns. And cemented any possibility I would ever vote for a Republican, again.

There’s just nothing there besides fascism and all that entails - a state religion (that bears no resemblance to what the religion was founded to be), the rights of big business and the very wealthy over all others, rules for me but not for thee, women and minorities powerless and functionally enslaved, unfree elections…

Repo voters can pretend that they’re standing for “border security” but their party is literally selling state secrets and getting our assets assassinated and won’t agree to real punishment for businesses who rely on undocumented workers, they can say they’re worried about “inflation” but the GOP has zero plans to address inflation and will just remove all taxes for the wealthy and they can pretend they worry about “crime” but aint nothing gonna drive crime like a million extra unwanted, unplanned for, unaffordable children. Just for once you’d think these “common sense Republicans” would get their heads out of their butts and think for a minute or two.

Increased turnout to vote for choice could affect the close races for the four House seats that the GOP flipped last time.

There's a difference between content and motivated to go out and vote. They've been fed a line for years about how Republicans and Democrats are both equally terrible and somehow bought it mostly out of lazinesss.

Now they see the reality because of Roe V Wade. I suspect "these people" (condescending bulls---) may in fact be motivated and have gained a bit of clarity.

Call me cynical. If they are okay with Trump they are okay with RvW being overturned.

That is not the case with the R women I know. They are shocked that Roe was overturned.

I would love to listen in on a focus group of R women sometime. When Ds heard Kav and ACB during their confirmation hearings, we KNEW they were there to overturn Roe and it's exactly what they would do. I would love to hear from R women about what they actually heard and believed there. I find it astonishing that anyone could have come away thinking that Roe was safe with these two on the bench!

Republican women like to think of themselves as people and thought their party felt the same way. They bought all the lines about feminazis and all that and thought that they’d be able to choose their own lives and also serve the patriarchy. Surprise! Women aren’t people in the GOP!

My sister will still vote republicans…tax cuts, crisis at the border, etc. it is surprising how many white women vote for trump/republican.

I am not White, but I am a woman and I will certainly vote Republican. Used to vote for the Democrats and I am pro-choice. But, right now, there are a million more issues that are more important to me.

Border security, inflation, crime. The Democrats have NOTHING to offer me on any of these issues.

You know Zero about the border-spend some time in a border town or within - few hundred miles of one and then say it’s secure.
