I think what OPs questions really is is more geared toward if she wants parents to stay and eat is a Costco pizza appropriate/enough. It is fine for kids but if you know the adults are staying and it is at a meal time there should be another food option too.
Normal people (e.g. not DCUM snob-moms) would (a) not expect to be fed at kid's party (b) be perfectly happy with costco pizza because heck, who hasn't picked up a pizza on the way out of Costco before? and (c) never complain about the food at a kid's birthday party.
OP - Costco food is GREAT for a pool party, don't stress about it!
Look, real snob moms aren't going to eat any pizza or day old sandwiches at a kid's party. They aren't there to eat at all so it doesn't matter what you serve.
So moms that don’t eat garbage food served at “kids” parties are snobs? Why is it ok to feed kids crap anyway?

I wouldn't eat Costco pizza either. I'm a NYer and hate crappy pizza.
Lifelong New Yorker here. Pizza is my favorite food, I eat NY pizza at least once a week, and I absolutely love Costco pizza. It's a different thing, but it is very yummy
Being snobby and dismissive doesn't bolster your claim that you're some kind of expert.
I'm not being snobby. I ate it once and found it disgusting. Hey, if I don't eat it, more for you, right?
You called it crappy. Have you heard the phrase, don't yuck someone else's yum? That's what you did. So, yeah. I'm glad there's more for me.
Whatever. I called it crappy on an anonymous online forum. I'd never say a negative thing to any host who served it or to anyone in person who raved about how much they like it.

Went to a party recently and they had Costco pizza, a flat of the snack size pringles cans, and a few boxes of chips ahoy cookies, soda. These were wealthy people. It looks cheap and trashy to serve guests only garbage foods

A fancier party might have District Taco and Nothing Bundt Cakes little cakes.
I don’t this Costco looks cheap. If you are wealthier than neighbors and classmates I think it’s better to serve Cost o than to
. . . Than to look like you are trying to hard / spending a ton on a kid party.
Yes, and I swear I have always said to my husband, “I do not get AT ALL why people love NBCs. I get it, they are cakes, they are in a cute Bundt pattern, their flavors are yummy, what am
I missing???”
