They need a male to deal with female new hire. Best to this school. Serino knew it to leave.
And less than 24 hours after the announcement Bangerd would join Westland, it’s announced he has taken a different opportunity. Doesn’t speak well of the new principal’s ability to manage hiring of Human Resources.
Don't worry, the next AP will be brought from Philippines. It's a joke, well... hopefully it's a joke.
Is it normal MCPS to have so much shuffling around in school administration after the school year already started? This seems so disruptive.

And one counselor. Don't ask that counselor a question, will roll their eyes at you, will answer back with derogatory comment. smug overload.

Yes, sure. Blame the parents in the first week of the school year...![]()
Have you met some of those parents? Could tell you at least a half dozen of them can create so much work.
Westland has 850 students. If only 6 parents bugging you--that's fewer difficult people than I face in my job.

Okay, I'll bite. I'm a Pyle parent that is probably seen as a PITA. My kid is disabled and that means I need to advocate hard and often. I actually found Lauretta Beckett to be a very thoughtful and communicative AP. She seemed to really understand the grade cohort she was responsible for- who was friends with who, which kids were feeling left out, who needed extra support, etc. Anyhow, my experience was rather positive!
I feel like Lauretta Beckett wrote this…
