So Emme - LEAN is a two syllable name like Emlean?
Wouldn’t Em be the obvious spelling if you’re trying to spell it phonetically?

I’ve always heard it pronounced Emme-LINE (I’ve met a couple Emmelines and Adelines and they all pronounced it with a long I sound). If you plan to pronounce it differently I think that would lead to a lot of correcting down the road.
