Opposite for me. I can't get out of my head how filthy they are. The sound of them clicking/clacking/touching/spreading all the bacteria hidden under them. The weird pinching fingers in order to touch/complete tasks successfully because they can't move like normal human hands....ugh..... extra yuck points if I see someone touch their hair with them.... so creepy.

This. Seems very dirty.

Yes, long nails, fake nails - gross. Just keep ‘‘em short, clean and tidy.

I love those, as long as they aren't overly long ones. Never had them personally, but loved the ones I've seen on others. I like around this length:

Those are so awful.

You can't even tell with sny of these things. I've been accused of having fake everything on your list and I'll throw in hair. It's all real and they're fabulous!

Whatever, Jan.

If people were “accusing” me of fake everything I’d reevaluate my style. And who does that out loud anyway? Saying something like that is tacky, too.

New style, new friends.

Fake nails are so tacky unless they're short.

I work with my hands, so when I see them I think of all the things that must be difficult or impossible to do with those nails.

I think fake nails (any kind, tips, acrylics, powder etc.) always look tacky. Regardless of how they are varnished or their length.

I'm a shorter nailed lady who keeps my natural nails no more than 2-3mm long, squares or squarish oval. I do a weekly at home mani, and do wear a variety of colours every week. For me it's not about saving money by doing home manis. I do actually go for monthly pedicures.

Anyone else in my camp with thinking fake nails are tacky? Or am I the lone one on this?

There is no general public option on in this or anything else. And why do you even care? Do you and don’t worry about what anybody else is doing.

This is a beauty fashion forum to discuss all related things. Chill out.

Except for rare special occasions, I don't get them because I don't want to pay to maintain them, and because it's just not practical with little kids, pets, work, etc. But I really like them on other people. And I am not into any other "fake" beauty stuff like lashes.

Non-tacky example:

Um, no... that is very much a tacky example. Here are some non-tackies:

ewww yikes these are all turrible- especially the middle ones. And why are they ROUND and so thick looking? They are like old man toenails.
