I was working in a bridal shop in Flushing, Queens, when my boyfriend kicked me out in one of those crushing scenes. What was I to do, where was I to go, I was out on my fanny! So over the bridge from Flushing to the Sheffields' door, I was there to sell makeup but Father saw more. I had style, I had flair, I was there!

I was a waitress from Queens with a bad haircut. One day, this super old-money ne’er do well drunk came in with his English Butler. We fell in love but he was already engaged to a rich girl his family approved of. He broke it off with her to be with me and his family cut him off. We were prepared for a life of penury. But then his butler died, he sobered up and his grandmother couldn’t bear the thought of having a poor person in her family. You could say we got caught between the moon and NYC.

I married rich, and my life was pretty perfect, sailing around the world on the family yacht. My spouse was kind of high maintenance, but luckily for me, she fell overboard in some coastal podunk town in oregon and got amnesia, so I was able to abandon her in the small town hospital. Now I sail the world with a bunch of hot babes in 80s bikinis. Life has never been better!

I was living in a provincial town with my father at the time. I didn't have much in common with the people who lived there but I was never lonely because I loved books. The most eligible bachelor in town had his eye on me but he was a narcissistic fool. One day, my father was traveling to a science convention to showcase his latest invention when he had an accident in the woods and came upon a castle. He was then imprisoned by the recluse living in the castle. I eventually went looking for my father and found him at the castle. The castle was magical but otherwise unimpresive--dusty and rundown--and the recluse living there was an ill-mannered beast. But I loved my father so I bargained for his release in exchange for my freedom. The recluse agreed.

Over time, I grew fond of my captor and taught him table manners and how to dance. We spent evenings reading by the fire and having snowball fights in winter. Both of us felt that things were changing between us--we were falling in love! Then the narcissistic fool from the village showed up to "rescue" me and nearly killed my new love. I nursed him back to health. When we finally shared our first kiss, it was like a magic spell had been lifted and he was free to be his true self. We've truly been living happily ever after ever since. #blessed

I was born on an island to a single mom who died when I was young, and was taken in by a prosperous businessman who sent me to school in New York. I was a columnist and got involved in politics and the military. Through those connections I met the daughters of wealthy and powerful families. I was BFFs with one but married another and had a bunch of kids. Our oldest son died tragically and I had an affair. Then I got to arguing with someone I shouldn't have, and he shot me in Jersey.

I was the chauffeur and admittedly, a bit rough around the edges. I was opinionated and political, but I caught the eye of the youngest lady of the house. Our romance was scandalous and we had to keep it hidden. We made plans to run away together but her family found out. Still, she insisted on leaving her family for me even though her father threatened to cut her off. We got married and started a family but sadly, she died in childbirth. My newborn daughter and I stayed on with my in-laws. It was hard at first--none of the family accepted me and the servants thought I was trying to rise above my station. Eventually I won everyone over and grew to be a valuable and loved member of the household.

I was raised in a poor, rural town in the former Soviet Union. My father got into some unnamed trouble with party elites and as a result, I was "given" to the son of a party higher-up as a fake bride. The arrangement was that after faking our wedding, we would emigrate to the United States, shake hands and go our separate ways. I was looking forward to living a normal American life. Sadly, that was not my destiny. Party insiders insisted my father's debt had not yet been paid in full. I had to marry a mogul to infiltrate the upper class; otherwise my parents' milking cow would be killed and my younger brother would be forced to work in the factory for the rest of his life instead of attending ballet school, which was his dream. I adored my brother and would do anything for him. Absolutely anything.

I've had no contact with my family ever since. It's like they never even existed. But I was given a complete makeover -- looks, life story and all. I went from being an unattractive schlub to a former model and olympic athlete from one day to the next. I married the disgusting mogul. Had three kids, then got divorced. Eh, not bad. I can't complain.

I was a mermaid and I loved to collect human artifacts. My father forbade me to go above the sea, but when I saved a handsome prince from a shipwreck I knew I wanted to be with him. I made a deal with a sea witch to transform into a human in exchange for my voice, I could only get it back if the prince kissed me. The spell was broken but then the sea witch kidnapped me and tried to take over the whole ocean. Fortunately the prince killed her. My father let me be a human so I could marry the prince.

Although I will say that because my father is king of the sea, I'm not LMC in the financial sense, I'm just from under the sea.
