Yet this is the only archdiocese that does not honor students pronouns. He does not represent the church, he is not following their teachings. He is being political not religious.
Many dioceses have similar policies. Biological sex of man and woman is a fundamental teaching of the Catholic Church. And Catholic schools follow Catholic teachings. I am not sure why you believe that is political or not representative of the church.
That is sex this is gender.
Yes, the Catholic Church teaches that biological sex and gender are one and the same.
No they don’t.
Yes, they do. You should comb through the Catechism, esp. part 355. I believe Fr Mike Schmitz (bible in a year podcast) is going to do a Catechism in a year podcast.
I’ve studied it ever which way but loose. The catechism does not address gender it only addresses sex.
I believe Fr. James Martin has many books on this, you can find them on Amazon.
omg. I can't tell if you are being deliberately obtuse or are really that unknowledgeable about Catholic teachings.
I mean, when someone gets their understanding of Church teaching from Fr. James Martin...this is the result.
It’s as ridiculous as recommending Fr. Schmitz … two sides of the same coin.
But your too close minded to get that was /s at your ridiculous post.
NP. What's wrong with Fr. Schmitz? I listened to his Bible in a Year podcast and it was fantastic!
What’s wrong with Fr James Martin?

Or priests could not marry interracial couples, same thing.
Or divorced people could not receive communion, same thing.
Or women could not do certain things on the alter during mass, same thing.
or women could not be part of the Dicastery, same thing.
The Catholic Church as it is currently run by the corrupt men in the US is often pathetic and behind the times.
No you can’t discriminate… it’s against the law and against Jesus.
No, it's not the "same thing." Not even close. For one thing, most of the items you have listed here affect adults, not still developing and impressionable children.
I’m showing you the church is often wrong and eventually gets with reality.
Yes it is similar, forcing left handed people to use their right because they did not believe in science.
The church has been wrong about many things through the years, yes of course. But there is nothing in the Bible that specifically states all people should be right-handed. There is, however, very clear instruction that God created us, male and female, each according to His purpose. That is a very different thing.
That is sex not gender nor is it gender identity.
Also what about those born Xxy or XYY or intersex.
What does the Bible say about that?
Actually, in Deuteronomy (old testament), the Bible does speak about expression of gender identity. Look up Deuteronomy 22:5 And those that are born intersex - you mean the half of one percent that are born with ambiguous genitalia that is almost always surgically corrected to match DNA before the age of 2? Or those even rarer cases of Klinefelter or Jacobs syndrome, which generally do not present with ambiguous genitalia, thus establishing that the person is male or female?

Anonymous wrote:In the 80’s it was common place to refuse communion if you were divorced, and absolutely if you remarry.
Are you even Catholic? His old are you that you do not know this?
I doubt you are. I'm Catholic and older. Divorced Catholics haven't been denied communion unless they remarry outside the Church, i.e., without obtaining an annulment. Even the link you posted doesn't say that. It's if you are divorced AND remarried civilly that you are denied communion. I have an annotated Catholic New Testament printed in 1941 that specifically says that. It is the version that was given to Catholic American soldiers during World War II.
Indeed, the link posted makes this clear. https://www.catholicweekly.com.au/can-divorced-and-remarried-people-receive-communion/ It talks about
Catholics who are divorced AND remarried civilly.
Please note if you are divorced and obtain a Church annulment you can remarry in the Church. In the US, you cannot obtain a Church annulment unless you are legally divorced first. I know that because I tried to get an annulment before I was legally divorced and learned that in the US, that's not possible.
Being divorced is NOT a sin. Getting married outside the Church is.
