It seems to be in my very small world anyone who has traveled, flown or stayed in a hotel has come back with covid. I'm looking for stories of travel and no one got sick. Did you mask up? Did you stay in a hotel, fly or drive, eat out? Sleep in a hotel masked or unmasked, stuff like this. I'm immunocompromised and am trying to gauge as best as I can risky situations right now. Thank you for your help.

And I bet you don't test either. It's highly probably you were positive asymptomatic on at least once occasion, and spread it to others. Highly irresponsible.
Thanks for your opinion Karen.

We had traveled a lot during covid but only got it on our trip in June despite driving instead of flying and strict mask wearing. Everyone I know who has traveled recently had at least some members of their family get covid. Its just the way it is right now.
Yup; the people I know who traveled in June on airplanes are all reporting that they got COVID. They aren't sharing that information on social media or anything, but when I talk to them in person I learn that people in their family or traveling group got sick. In most cases it was a bad cold, but kept them from enjoying the rest of their trip. On one case the traveler passed the virus on to the elderly relatives they were visiting, which was a bummer, but the elderly relative is doing OK.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This post is just useless anecdotes. I could start another one asking who traveled and got Covid and would get a bunch of responses as well.
For the record, we went to a 100+ person indoors wedding in May where most people didn’t wear masks. We didn’t get Covid. We flew to Europe and back, wore masks diligently on the planes and everywhere indoors. We got Covid. It was bound to happen eventually, we’ve avoided it for 2+ years.
Well, OP did ask for anecdotes so…

Oh yeah, I’m one of the maskless travelers who has been Covid-free, but this post reminded me: I also went to a business dinner where the people on each side of me (as well as others at the table) tested positive a day or two later. We were talking at a distance of 1-2 feet for two hours, eating food. Still nothing. I think I’m immune.
