Was there no victim's advocates to take them somewhere? Ask questions? Seems strange.
Also, some weird crimes happened at the Main St shopping center over the past couple of months. I'll have to look up what happened, but a couple of random assaults if I recall. That's very near the crime scene.
Why weren’t they with the wife and kids?
Because the wife was being questioned as a suspect - as we mentioned and all you all had to say was ‘they went to bible study for twenty years’

Yes, very scary. Especially if it turns out to be a random intruder.
It would be almost incomprehensible if a random person broke into their house, made their way to the bedroom, and shot the husband while leaving the wife unharmed. Not impossible, but so far-fetched that it wouldn’t even make for a good crime drama

It was clearly targeted. You don't need to worry.
Again, with the parroting "it was targeted" over and over. Give it a rest. You have no idea whether it was targeted, yet you keep saying it definitively as if you Know The Truth. You just want it to be targeted, either so you can feel like "It's still safe here, that can't happen to me" or because you want to crank up drama around a supposed hit job. Pathetic.
Let's wait for the real investigators to do their real jobs. Not for armchair conspiracy theorists to spout baseless theories.

So seems more likely that this was targeted, which means likely either one of them had a piece on the side, or someone was upset about something related to his work. So awful for his wife and the kids.
Look up the Quisenberry murders in Vienna. The burglar or burglars did just that, apparently. Killed the couple in their bed.

Which tells me they know it isn’t a community threat

My gut is this is international and needs FBI. His charity work overseas pissed off some bad human, or he discovered something and was silenced.
