Just randomly checked SIS and my kids' results are there -- an ES in the Madison pyramid. I generally am happy to wait until July or whenever but I have a 6th grader who wants to take Algebra next year and he needed the Pass-Advanced on Math 7.

What do you think it means?

will it impact the final grades, or principal placement etc?

Final grades, no.

Placement, there are people waiting to learned 6th grade results for Algebra 1 placement in 7th.

Why would you think they’d be PA? Are they AAP?

Nope, both PA. I was a bit surprised that the Math score was lower then the reading score, I'll be interested to see the score break down. He has a tendency to rush through math problems because he thinks they are easy and then makes mistakes. We are working on it.

She didn't qualify for summer school, I was told she was doing "fine" two weeks ago (when they knew her scores).

I heard through the grapevine that fifth grade science was a bloodbath across the board. Ten year olds shouldn't be "taught" science with google slides.

I dunno, DS did fine on the Science SOL last year. Not sure that slides were the issue.

It was my daughter's only PA last year.

Also, keep in mind that 8th grade science SOL covers 6-8th grade material, so this can repeat itself in a later grade.

What about 8th grade SS? Is it 6-8th grade??

There is no 8th grade Social Studies SOL.

I am the PP moving out of state who was told by the principal that I had to wait until July for results. Scores just posted on SIS this morning. Whew. One less thing to worry about.

Our 5th grade science was pretty good, I thought they did some actual experiments in class. The SOL was apparently material from 2 years, so my DS was cramming the info. from a review packet the week before the test.

Is 5th grade science usually bad?
